Lesson 06 drill — Present Perfect for life experience
Use have/has + past participle when the moment is NOT important — only the experience counts. Add 'ever' in questions and 'never' in negatives. As soon as you give a date, place or detail, switch to Past Simple. 'Been to' = went and came back. 'Gone to' = went and is still there.
