Lesson 04 drill — Question tags and short reactions
Small talk runs on two engines: short tag questions ('Nice weather, isn't it?') that invite the other person in, and short reactions ('Oh really?', 'That sounds great', 'Same here') that show you're listening. Tags use the opposite auxiliary to the statement: positive statement → negative tag, and vice versa.
